Albert Marie: In the 10,000m, running in heat number three of round one, Marie clocked a time of 32 minutes 04.11 seconds, a then Seychelles record, to be ranked 14th in heat number three and 41st overall. In the 3,000m Steeplechase, he ran in heat number 3 of round one and clocked 9minutes 32.30 seconds to be ranked 11th and 33rd out of 35 runners.
Denis Rose: In the 100m, Rose ran in heat number seven of round one and he clocked 11.04 seconds to be ranked seventh in his heat and 63rd out of 75 sprinters. During his 200m run in heat number nine of round one, he received a time of 21.87 seconds, a then Seychelles record, to be ranked seventh in his heat and 52 out of 75 sprinters.
Marie-Ange Wirtz: In the 100m run, Wirtz ran in heat number six of round one, she clocked a wind-assisted 12.61 seconds to be ranked eighth in her heat and 38th among 40 participants. In the 200m run, running in heat number two of round one, she clocked 25.88 seconds to be ranked seventh in her heat and a place before last, 36th, on the overall total. Wirtz also did the long jump and she registered 5.21m in the qualifying round to finish 23rg overall.
Philippe Sinon: Running in heat number six of round one of the 800M, Sinon clocked 2 minutes and 04.89 seconds to be ranked seventh in his heat and 64th out of 66 runners. In the 1,500m, in heat number six of round one, he clocked 4 minutes 25.80 seconds to be ranked ninth.
Vincent Confait: In the 400m, Confait was disqualified when running heat number 10 of round one. In the 400m Hurdles, while he was running in heat number three of round one, he clocked 53.62 seconds. Then, it was a Seychelles record and gave him the seventh rank in his heat and 40th out of 44 participants.
Boxing
Basil Boniface: He lost by RSCH (Referee Stopped Contest Head) at 1 minute 40 seconds in the second round, against Irish Kieran Joyce in the 16th of final.
Jean-Claude Labonté: He lost on points, 0-5, to Spanish Jose Antonio Hernando in the 16th of final.
Ralph Labrosse: In the 16th final, Labrosse won a 4-1 split points decision over Cameroonian Pierre Claver Mella. He then lost by knockout after 1 minute 10 seconds in the second round against Ivorian Sery Gnohere in the next round.
Remy Zialor: He lost on points, 0-5, to Cameroonian Jean-Pierre Mbereke in the 16th final.
