Delhi 2010

The 2010 Commonwealth Games (officially known as the XIX Commonwealth Games), was a multi-sport event held in Delhi, India from 3 to 14 October 2010. It was the first time that India hosted the Commonwealth Games. A total of 6,081 athletes from 71 Commonwealth nations and dependencies competed in 21 sports and 272 events, making it the largest Commonwealth Games to date.

Athletics

Danny D’Souza: clocked 10.87 seconds in the 100m race event.

Alice Khan: clocked 12.9 seconds in the 100m race event.

Neddy Marie: clocked 22.68 seconds in the 200m race event.

William Woodcock: cleared the bar at 2.20 metres in High Jump.

Lisa Labiche: cleared the bar at 1.68 metres in High jump.

Andy Rose clocked 1:04:32.94 in the Individual-trial.

Francis Louis clocked 1:10:51.42 in the Individual-trial.

Swimming

Ron Roucou clocked 01:18.5 in the men’s 100m Breaststroke; 00:26.74 in the 50m Freestyle and 00:34.24 in the 50m BackStroke.

Shane Mangroo clocked 01:03.66 in the 100m Butterfly; 00:56.87 in the 100m Freestyle; 02:10.91 in the 200m Freestyle; 00:28.31 in the 50m Butterfly and 00:25.68 in the men’s 50m Freestyle.
Shannon Austin clocked 01:09.59 in the 100m Butterfly; 01:00.27 in the 100m Freestyle; 02:36.33 in the 200m Butterfly; 02:15.00 in the 200m Freestyle; 04:36.04 in the 400m Freestyle; 00:32.76 in the 50m Butterfly and 00:28.38 in the 50m Freestyle.

Adam Victora clocked 00:58.03 in the 100m freestyle; 02:06.26 in the 200m Freestyle and 04:33.64 in the 400m freestyle.

Janet George: She competed in the 69kg Category and won Seychelles a silver medal with a total lift of 216 kg.

Charles Simeon: Finished in the 11th position in the Men’s 77kg category with a total lift of 255kg.

Terence Dixie: Competed in the 85kg Category where he finished in the 8th position with a total lift of 280kg.
