In 1992, Seychelles sent 11 athletes in four different sports; Athletics, Boxing, Sailing and Swimming. The team was also accompanied by 10 officials. The Barcelona 1992 flag bearer was boxer Roland Raforme.
Athletics
Danny Beauchamp: Competing in the long jump, Beauchamp registered a best jump of 7.44 meters to beat 13 other participants and be placed 37th out of 50 competitors in the qualifiers. However, his effort was not good enough to earn him a place in the final. In the high jump, Beauchamp cleared the bar at a height of 2.10 meters in the qualifiers to be ranked 38th.
Giovanny Fanny: In the 400m Hurdles, running in heat number seven of round one, Fanny, 27 years old at the time, clocked 52.63 seconds to be ranked sixth in his heat.
Joseph Adam: In the 400m, running in heat five of round one, Adam clocked 47.68 seconds to be ranked sixth. With this time, Adam improved his old Seychelles record of 47.89 seconds.
Paul Nioze: In the triple jump, with a best jump of 16.32 meters registered in round one of the qualifiers, Nioze was ranked 22nd out of 44 competitors. He did not qualify for a place in the final.
Boxing
Rival Cadeau (now Payet): Boxing in the light middleweight category, Rival beat Moroccan Mohamed Mesbani 5-3 in his first fight and then lost 3-20 to former world number two, American Raul Marquez, in the second round to bow out of the competition.
Roland Raforme: Known as the Seychellois hand of stone, Raforme crushed Australian Rick Timperi 27-7 in his first round. He then knocked out Frenchman Patrice Aouissi with 57 seconds left in the second round of his second bout. One bout away for a bronze medal, Raforme lost 3-11 to Hungarian Zoltan Beres in the quarterfinal.
Sailing
Danny Hugh Adeline: In Lechner A-390 Windsurfing, he finished 36th out of 44 participants with a net 349 points. He had a 38th place in races 1 and 6, 35th place in races 2 and 3, 30th place in race 4, 34th place in race 5, 33rd place in races 7 and 8, 37th place in race 9 and 20th place in race 10.
Swimming
Elke Talma: In the 200m Medley, swimming in lane seven of heat number one of the preliminaries, she clocked 2 minutes 53.41 seconds to be ranked 43rd overall. Also swimming in the 100m Breaststroke in lane seven of heat number one of the preliminaries, she clocked 1 minute 29.21 seconds to be ranked 42nd overall. In the 200m Breaststroke, swimming in lane one of heat number one of the preliminaries, she clocked 3 minutes 12.13 seconds to be ranked 39th overall.
Ivan Roberts: In the 100m Freestyle, swimming in lane five of heat number two of the preliminaries, he clocked 56.15 seconds to be ranked fifth in his heat and 67th overall. In the 50m Freestyle, swimming in lane three of heat number two of the preliminaries, he clocked 25.44 seconds to be ranked 58th overall.
Jean-Paul Adam: In the 200m Individual Medley, swimming in lane two of heat number one of the preliminaries, he clocked 2 minutes 35.35 seconds to be ranked 52nd overall. In the 400m Freestyle, swimming in lane seven of heat number one of the preliminaries, he clocked 4 minutes 40.93 seconds to be ranked 46th overall. In the 200m Freestyle, he clocked 2 minutes 09.99 seconds in heat number one to finish sixth and 54th out of 55 swimmers.
Kenny Roberts: He was disqualified while swimming in lane one of heat number one in the 200m Breaststroke. In the 100m Freestyle, swimming in lane four of heat number one of the preliminaries, he clocked 58.86 seconds to be ranked fourth in his heat and 72nd overall. Also swimming in the 50m Freestyle in lane one of heat number two of the preliminaries, he clocked 26.78 seconds to be ranked 68th overall. In the 200m Individual Medley, he swam in lane six of heat number one of the preliminaries, he clocked 2 minutes 30.35 seconds to be ranked 51st overall.
