Moscow 1980

Seychelles was represented in two sports during the 1980 Moscow Olympic, Athletics and Boxing. A total of 12 athletes were part of the delegations and they were accompanied by 7 officials. The Moscow 1980 flag bearer was Boxer Michael Pillay.

Athletics

Albert Marie: In the 3,000m Steeplechase, he clocked 9:19.62 to be placed 10th in heat number three. He also participated in the marathon but did not finish the run.
Antonio Gopal: Participating in the Olympic Games at 33 years old, Gopal clocked 16.36 seconds to be ranked eighth in heat number three.
Arthur Agathine: He registered a distance of 14.21m in the qualifying round of the triple jump.
Bessie De Létourdie: Only 18 years old at the time, De Létourdie finished her 100m race with a time of 13.04 secondes, placing seventh in heat number one. In her 200m run, she was place sixth with a time of 26.91 seconds in heat number five.
Casey Perreira: Other than his results in the relay, Perreira clocked 22.59 seconds in the 200m to be ranked seventh in heat number one.
Marc Larose: Other than his results in the relay, Larose ran the 100m in heat number one and was placed seventh with a time of 11.27 seconds.
Margaret Morel: Running in heat number one, Morel, who was 22 years old at the time, placed 13th with a time of 4:37.9 in the 1,500m. In the 800m run, she placed seventh with a time of 2:16.94 in heat number two.
Regis Tranquille: Running in the 400m, Tranquille placed fifth in heat number four with a time of 49.34 seconds. He also ran the relay with Confait, Larose and Perreira.
Vincent Confait; Marc Larose; Casey Perreira and Regis Tranquille: In the 4X400m relay, they finished with a time of 3:19.2 which gave them the seventh place in heat number three. In the 4X100m relay, they received a time of 41.71 seconds placing them seventh in heat number one.
